Paone Woodworking Company History

After being in the business of fine architectural woodwork for more than forty years, Paone Woodworking has developed a rich history, which includes introduction of a unique company logo, partnerships with various esteemed companies across a wide range of industries, and the incorporation of adept businessmen leading the company to success.

May 1967 Thomas and Joseph Paone, Jr. with the aide of Joseph Paone, Sr. establish Paone Woodworking Corporation at Germantown Ave. and Wister St., Philadelphia
1968 Disaster strikes as devastating fire destroys building. Surviving items included an ax head and two ball weights. These become the company logo.
1969 Building at 2030 E. Willard St., Philadelphia, is purchased and becomes the new home for Paone.
1969 Paone secures first store fixture contract for prominent Philadelphia area convenience store chain.
1976 Paone begins production level manufacturing for international amusement game company requiring purchase of computer controlled wood cutting and boring machinery. SCMI panel saws and overhead router purchased.
1977 Tenth Anniversary
1979 Paone expands with purchase of second building.
1982 Cabinet and assembly shop created in new building. Existing space converted to offices and drafting rooms.
1984 Paone moves to European 32mm system. Holier edge banding machine, SCMI and Gannomat boring machines, SCMI planer and sander purchased.
1986 Paone begins manufacturing custom woodwork for many Atlantic City casinos.
1991 Purchase of new SCMI panel saw and Morbidelli boring machine. Implementation of CAD for drafting and design. Computerization of accounting and inventory.
1992 Twenty Fifth Anniversary
1993 Purchase of Morbidelli U-550
1994 Purchase of second Morbidelli U-550
1997 Purchase of Morbidelli 504 Rapid 7 machining center
1998 Purchase of two Giben panel saws
2000 Purchase of Braddock Street facility
2000 Purchase of Routech
2001 Third generation assumes management of Paone
2002 Thirty Fifth Anniversary
2004 Purchase of new Giben panel saw
2007 Fortieth Anniversary
